A non-political, non-profit organization dedicated to creating sustainable food security and fighting climate change through the Love of Jesus.
Awa Fruit Trees was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to demonstrate God's love through practical action that addresses both immediate hunger and long-term food security challenges facing communities across Zimbabwe.
As a registered non-profit organization in Zimbabwe, we maintain a strictly non-political stance, focusing solely on our mission to plant fruit trees in public and communal spaces. Our work spans across urban and rural communities, schools, hospitals, and churches throughout the country.
What started as a small initiative has grown into a movement that brings together communities, creates sustainable income opportunities for the poor, and contributes meaningfully to climate change mitigation through reforestation efforts.
Guided by Christian values, we work towards a Zimbabwe where every community has access to nutritious food and a greener environment.
To foster community spirit and ensure shared access to nutritious food by creating sustainable ecosystems where fruit trees become sources of nourishment, income, and environmental healing for all.
To plant low-maintenance fruit trees in public and communal spaces, providing sustainable nutrition, promoting community sharing, and contributing to a greener planet while demonstrating the Love of Jesus through practical service.
Three core objectives that drive our mission to transform communities across Zimbabwe
Establish sustainable food sources in communities across Zimbabwe through strategic fruit tree planting initiatives.
Create sustainable income opportunities for the poor through fruit tree maintenance and harvest activities.
Combat climate change through reforestation efforts that improve air quality and environmental health.
Driven by faith and a passion for community development, our founder brings together theological insight and technical expertise.
